Sonic the Hedgehog 2 HD Remix May Become Reality

For all the fans of Sonic posted by racketboy.com the project for turning Sonic 2 into HD has been initiated with quite a few established groups jumping on the bandwagon to make it possible.

The Development Team So Far

Quickman - Project Coordinator
TheSonicRetard - Graphic Engine developer (based on his NeedleMouse Engine)
Jman2050 / The Taxman - lead game engine programmer.
Tweaker (the creator of Sonic Megamix)
BlazeHedgehog, Cinossu, and many others - Developed remixed soundtrack
Vincent & Blue Streak - Sprite Artists

Below is what the HD artwork looks like so far.

Lets just hope that now that the project has been initiated the project will actually be completed.  Especially for the gamers that have invested the money in getting the better systems for the quality when the project is done it would be good not to disappoint.  Now with all the next-gen games it would be worth it to loyal fans of Sonic to experience the game and an updated quality.
